What Is Child Protective Services?

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) works to protect children, the elderly and the disabled from abuse, neglect and exploitation.

DFPS's work is divided into five sections, one of which is Child Protective Services. As the name suggests, the role of CPS is to protect children.

At The Law Office of J. Gregory Whitten P.L.L.C., in Allen, Texas, we frequently work with grandparents and parents who have concerns about the health and welfare of their grandchildren or children. In many of the situations we see, the parents are struggling with big problems and the grandchildren are at risk. If you have concerns about your grandchild's welfare and would like to speak with an attorney who focuses on these issues, call our office at 972-632-3662 or contact us through our website.
